La Manga - Sport and Recreation
La Manga is well renowned for its Championship Golf Course of which it has three, the West Course being the most scenic, however it is tight and quite hilly, bring your “A” game. The North is most players favourite, whilst the South is flatter and longer with wider fairways, all courses have buggies available, the practice facilities are fantastic at La Manga which also has The Par 47, a pitch and putt and if we were honest, not good value for money
Booking your at Golf La Manga, www.lamangaclub.com/golf/index.asp consider buying a multi play ticket which should be cheaper, don't forget to tell them you are a resident of Las Higueras 28 to attain that extra discount
Recently several new courses have opened up all within a reasonable driving time and are worth considering, if you want to play golf out with La Manga we suggest you look at www.clubmercia.com where you will be able to book online often at discounted prices, check out the La Manga green fees on this website
Some Recommended Courses out with La Manga
La Manga Tennis facilities are magnificent, a choice of surfaces, coaching & training facilities, make this one of Europe's top tennis destinations, contact them for all the latest offers and let them know you are a resident of Las Higueras 28 www.lamangaclub.com/tenis/index.asp
La Manga has hosted many professional football teams at its excellent training facilities, including the National teams of England , Scotland & Wales with club teams such as Real Madrid, Liverpool and numerous others. If your son or grandson is a budding Ronaldo, Messi or Rooney, the summer months have football camps, run by ex professional players
La Manga has its own small private beach, however we recommend the many beaches on the Mar Menor, especially families with children, the safe shallow waters are warmer than the Mediterranean, and are surrounded by many bars, cafes and restaurants,
Tip for children's safety, perhaps choose an area buoyed off restricting boat access, for very young children consider a full body bathing suit to protect them from the sun and jelly fish stings.
In or around La Manga you will find a whole host of other things to do, including mountain biking, Scuba diving, hill walking and horse trails, for the more energetic (and younger generation) the Mar Menor has windsurfing, kiteboarding and everything that you can possibly imagine that can be done on water.
